Front porch in the ev’nin; sun settlin’ in.
Just like me, time for restin’ again.
I’m propped on the porch rail, sun propped in the sky.
Both ready for slumber, with night drawin’ nigh.
Good day’s work, than the Savior for blessin’;
by faith made it through, tho’ some moments distressin’.
Me and the sun, we done all we could do,
till tomorrow mornin’ at the back porch a-new. AMEN.
