What made Jesus—Jesus.

Could any of us---fully human—spend three years in an itinerant and homeless manner---proclaiming a message that our intended audience for the most part ignored while being constantly confronted by people who wanted only from us what we could provide for them? The genuine and sincere believers we did find were still of limited perception, never to fully understand.
Could we do this, knowing all the while that we would soon feel the most supreme agony, humiliation and rejection a fully human individual was capable of experiencing?
But He knew something we could not understand—this fully human, but also fully divine man; that it would all be worth it, that the agony, humiliation, and rejection were not the end of it.
Likewise, it is not the end of it for us. As Paul said, in Romans 8:18, “For I consider the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
We are, indeed, in this life, bound by the degrees of human perception and understanding, like those genuine and sincere followers of Christ. But let that not impede what we, by faith, are assured of beyond those boundaries. Let faith guide circumstance then, do not allow circumstance to guide faith.
