Even when you loose sight of your destination, remember it is the lighthouse that reaches out to find the sailor, not the sailor who finds the lighthouse. And while there are times to row, there will also be times that we need to surrender. We need to be willing to lay aside the oars and raise the sail, acknowledging there is a greater power in control; something outside and beyond ourselves.
God is that lighthouse; the wind in that sail. The definition of rough seas is based on and limited by human condition and perception. The answers are not.
So raise the sail, let the ever searching and beckoning beam from the lighthouse find you.
God recognizes the weary sailor. Does the weary sailor recognize himself?
