Run Quickly! The crowd is chasing you! Don’t let them catch you! Run faster! Look ahead! There’s the house only a short distance away! Hurry up! I have the door open. Climb up the stairs and go inside! Close the door and lock it quickly. Close all the windows and curtains and shut out the noise from the screaming mob!
I hear their voices? Can you? Why do they despise you? You haven’t hurt them but they would rather see you gone. Listen, they are screaming murderous threats. But don’t be afraid now. Sit down and relax. Let your body rest a moment as you catch your breath. Take deep breaths…and relax. The pounding in your head will soon be relieved. Clear your mind of all the things you saw out there. The mobs can’t get in and you are in a safe place now. It’s quiet in your room. Unclench your hands and relax your muscles.
Now that your mind is clearer and the room is quiet, look around. The room appears to be like you left it; but something seems different. What could it be? Against one wall is the tan leather sofa with the table and lamp next to it; that’s the same though. The chair against the other wall is a strong upright chair with the footstool sitting only inches away. It’s in the same place you moved it three years ago when you moved in. But I see a difference; don’t you?
On the south wall above the table and lamp are photographs and paintings you hung up a year ago when you received them as gifts from your family. But there still seems to be something different about the room. Listen closely. It sounds like a gentle whisper. It seems like…yes, a man’s voice…and he’s speaking to you. He called your name; did you hear it? There it is again! He called your name again! He’s telling you a something. Stand still and listen. There is a secret in the room he says; a treasure for you to find.
Walk around – it’s in your room somewhere. The furniture is the same, the rooms are the same – but there is something different. Walk around the room and look. The newspaper is still on the table from this morning’s coffee and paper time. Your house slippers are still in front of the chair you sat in only four hours ago.
Let you eyes adjust to the lighting; maybe it will go away. The room appears to have a different light which seems to be speaking a language that only you can understand; it’s some sort of message. There’s the whisper again! His words are reminding you of a treasure which has been hidden. Look for the treasure map! It’s here, in your room somewhere. You need to find that treasure!
Turn over the pillows. Look under the chairs and coffee tables. Look around the plants, the toys, and papers; it’s there somewhere. There’s a hush in the room, quietness. The silence in the room allows the whisper to become clear now. The whisper is one you used to hear as a child. It was normal for you then. But as the years went by, the noises outside the doors were so loud they drowned the whispers you knew. The whispers which comforted you at night protected you by day. Do you remember that special whisper? It was someone special who spoke to you.
The whispers are clear now. It speaks of the treasure hidden for you and you need to find the map in order to search for the treasure. Listen carefully. It’s telling you where the treasure map is. He says the map is in your room. There’s a gentle light shining in your room now. The curtains are closed, so you know it’s not from outside. It’s pointing at something; look carefully. There, look at the painting! The light seems to be pointing in that direction – go look! Pull the painting off the wall and see what is different about the painting. Maybe there is a secret message in the painting. The painting is a mountain scene with a small old house, snowy mountain tops, a fence, and trees. But it doesn’t seem like a treasure map. It’s the same painting you had displayed on your wall for years.
Look at the frame. Maybe there is a message there; Its solid gold with a flower ornamentation around it; Soft, gentle texture. But what is the message? The light still seems to shine on the painting. What could it be? Look behind the painting! Could it be there? Yes! Behind the painting, there it is. It’s a treasure map! You found the map!
The map is old and worn. The paper appears to be a leather material with a dull paint detailing the treasure map. Next to the map is a small black box. Within the box are items from your growing years. The box contains clues which lead you to the secret treasure.
Sit down and read the map carefully. It was left for you he said. It is written in a language only you can understand. Read the words, the symbols, and the writing carefully. Gather your pen and paper; you will want to study your map in every detail. Someone very special left it for you to find and you don’t want to lose one clue to finding your hidden treasure.
Look at the star on the map. It says, “The beginning” in the top right-hand corner. This is very interesting. It’s appears to be a map of your life – and it’s leading you somewhere; like a treasure. Follow the trail. The map contains symbols which were secrets you were told as a child. The dreams of your childhood are engraved in the stones beneath the star. The symbols you drew in the sand is there in the corner of the twisting trail as well! It all seems to point to something special about you and your destiny.
The details of the map are in a language only you can understand. The mysteries, the stories, the language, the trauma, the joys, the hidden pains, it’s all in the map! Follow the path – it’s telling you something. What is it? You need to discover that secret. It tells you how to find your treasure of destiny – it’s your purpose in life! It was a message left just for you. You were called for a purpose.
You followed the trail to what seems to be a special place in your childhood. Read the writing. It’s telling you to close your eyes and not listen to the noise or the world or the worries of your mind. Listen to the whisper and remember when you were a child; the moment you were allowed to dream along with the whisper and the light together. Follow the map to that place it is telling you to do. He wants you to remember! It was the moment you wished to reach a certain place when you grew up. That dream of what you would be. Yes! That’s it! Write it down! It seems to have a clue to your destiny and where you were meant to be in life.
I see another place on the map. It looks like there was a moment when you were a child that your dream seemed to tap you on the shoulder to remind you its still there; that you were being prepared for that dream. Remember that time? It happened and you were amazed that a dream such as this could possibly be true for you. But it is! It’s there. Think about it and concentrate on that moment. It was a special moment for you. And now you see it on your map to the treasure!
Follow the trail a little further. There’s a symbol on the map. The symbol matches something you were given as a child. Look, I thought it was lost! It’s in the small black box next to the map. You never lost it; it was always there because it was part of your life clues. Do you remember this gift? You didn’t understand at the time, but only kept it as a memory of that moment, not really understanding why. But look at it carefully. You have it with you and it’s also on your map. It has a secret meaning.
Take it and learn from it. There’s a story behind there. It’s telling you to go somewhere special. Some place in time when you were told a very special secret, a story to hold onto. Write it down and look to the map for the next steps. It’s all detailed for you.
Put on your glasses, the map leads you to another special place in time. It was a place in your young adult life. It was a moment the childhood dream seems to appear once again, but a little bit different than before. It looks like a building block of what started then. It’s showing you a mirror and a picture of you and who you were to become. You look different in that moment. See it? It’s the light and the whisper with you in the photo! You have a confidence, a peace, and strength about you. Look at the people around you. They all look up to you. They rely on your confidence and strength. They trust you to acknowledge them. Their hope is that you will recognize their gifts.
But no one sees the light nor hears the whisper like you do. You looked around and suddenly it was gone. The noise of the world seemed to drown the sweetness of the message. But it was a wonderful moment. A moment you wish you could hang onto.
There in your hand, look! It was a badge placed in your hand. It was a badge for your accomplishment. Do as the map says! Take the badge out of the hidden box and place it upon your chest. Close your eyes and remember the moment. Write it down. Do you remember that accomplishment?
The map is showing you the road. There was a road which appears to be emptiness. There were no ornamentation, no special symbols. There was only a road which appeared to be dry and empty. Follow that road, it goes a while. Close your eyes and remember the road. The quietness was for a reason. Listen carefully. Don’t focus on the tears of loneliness. You were never alone. The light and the whisper were with you on that road. Look at the map carefully. You were walking the road and the whisper seemed to be clearer than ever. The light was bright and you never missed the path. You were moving ahead and never slowed down. You were on your path selected to travel. You were not left behind.
During this stretch of road you notice there are some valleys and hills chiseled in the map. These were some of your small victories and small defeats. No wait! It looks like a training ground! Almost like a military exercise to provide unique skills in stamina and strength. Yes! That’s what it is! Your senses were heighten like never before. The weights on your back gave you strong muscles to your body. And with your keen senses, you could detect a small rustle in the bushes a mile away!
Look at everything you wrote! That’s it! That leads to your calling! From when you were a child to now! The message has been clear all along. He wants you to see the treasure.
Look at your map once more. Your treasure map tells you one last thing… it says, “Follow the treasure map of your calling.” You are to walk out the door and follow the map. That’s where the treasure is.
