HO HO HO! (and similar salutations of the season)
Yes, it's time to begin thinking of Christmas! The stores are playing holiday music and displaying decorations. AND The HUGS & HOPE Christmas Elf Program already has 120 sick kids signed up for Christmas assistance. We are in need of volunteer sponsors!
These are children who are not only battling serious illness, but whose families are struggling financially and need help to provide a happy holiday for their little ones. Perhaps your club, church group, co-workers, or family might enjoy becoming "elves" as a holiday project. We're having an especially difficult time this year finding sponsors, and we're in somewhat of a panic. We don't want to disappoint any kids; but we may need to turn down parents who request our help, if we can't enlist sponsors.
We would appreciate it if you could do one or all of the following for us:
* Read more about the program at www.hugsandhope.org/elf.htm
* Please print the attached flyer to post on your church or work bulletin board.
* Forward this page to anyone you know who might like to help (Thank you!)
This holiday season, HUGS and HOPE will make Christmas merrier for hundreds of very sick kids across Wisconsin and throughout the country; but we can't do it alone. Many of these children won't have much of a holiday without the generosity and kindness of strangers like you.
Christmas is for kids, and it's a time for giving. Please consider joining our effort. Being an elf is fun; and it's a great family project to teach your children compassion and generosity.
Please consider sponsoring a HUGS and HOPE kid for Christmas -- one of the smiles you create just might be your own!Sign up to sponsor a critically ill child for Christmas. Visit the HUGS and HOPE Foundation’s web site to learn more about their Holiday Elf Program. Your gift could make Christmas merrier for a child who often has little to be joyful about.
Holiday blessings to you and yours,
Marsha Jordan
