My Whole New World - Personal Testimony

Christian Author Writer Quite a few years back God sent me a prophetic promise that I would experience a "Whole New World" I was very young in the Lord and I was so excited! At the time of the promise of New Worlds I thought these words meant that I would be leaving the familiar world I lived in, the place where I was living then. I thought I would probably be traveling, going far and wide to different places, more as Abraham did. I needed and desired change. I had lived a troubled life filled with troubled people. I had raised a family and had a very successful career. But I. was totally burnt out, discontented and dis-satisfied. I thought God would pick me up and take me into a better world than I knew here. So, I went through several years with that as mu heart focus. I was making plans in my heart to leave this temporary place and it's troubled people and move out to find that whole new world He spoke of. Surprise! I'm here to say right now that has never happened. I've been here with the same people and in the same place for many years. But I have finally begun to realize, amazingly, that because of the powers of God at work in my life, I really do live in a brand new world, and it is still changing as I go. My focus and my perspectives have changed.

What I've learned is that rather than me leaving the mess and going to new and exciting places, God desired to plant His words in my heart in order to teach me how to bring change to the world I now live in. I learned that God desired habitation, not just visitation. He desired to be near me. His desire was to move in, not for me to move out..

Matthew 1:23

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."

And, now, after years of learning submission I can honestly say that nothing in my life is the same. I am brand new, I am now able to live the life I preach to others.

And today, as I was sitting out on my front porch looking around the neighborhood I began having thoughts about that word of promise, and about the world I live in. For while my geographical boundaries and view in the natural is limited, my perspectives and my perception of my world belong to Him.

"PERSPECTIVE"

A view or vista.

A mental view or outlook:

Subjective evaluation of relative significance; a point of view:

The ability to perceive things in their actual interrelations or comparative importance

My perspectives are new. Therefore my worldview is new. My expectations for the future are now heavenly and healthy and line up with God's will for the remainder of my life here on earth.

The sweet presence of the Lord has changed my old mindset, the one it took me 55 years to develop. It's been a very deep and thorough work, going all the way to the roots of old generational influences. And it is also a continually ongoing work. I've still got far to go. I've had much to unlearn and much to relearn. I've had to learn how to change me, I've had to learn how to submit to the Lord and to resist the devil, how to co-operate with the Lord to bind some powers and to loose some powers in my life and relationships. A whole new world has been created.

And, today as I looked around I was in deep thought about this. It occurred to me that I have so much to thank my God for. Although I am still geographically in an old place, all things are new. Although all the houses are the same and all the people are the same ones, I'm the one who's different. I am the firstfruits of the harvest of all the seeds God has spent these last few years planting. I perceive things differently, and the miraculous difference in my perspectives has changed my life and everybody in my life. Many old friends faded away and many new ones have entered my life. Now, in Jesus, I'm glad to say that I'm learning how to live in peace with all men through My Father God and His new mercies each morning. I want to boast in my God as I share with you that I'm always happy and very content right where I am. I qm assured that if He should ever decide to move my world to another location He is able to do that. Praise the Lord, Christ, the hope of glory lives in me. God really did know what He was talking about!

His purposes have prospered. He has taught me that His word of life first begins in our own hearts and houses. That the mindset of the man is what influences his view of the small world we live in and also the large world out there that others live in, and as hearts are changed actions change and changed actions begins to change lives. A miraculous and magnificent renewing is happening as we follow on to know the Lord and set our whole heart on Him.

Romans 12:2

Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

My hope is that this might minister some life changing wisdom to others who have promises from God. To know the Lord and to understand His ways with us is so liberating! To be allowed to join in with Him in fellowship with other family members and to share in His glory through our love for one another is the highest privilege! I'm thankful to say that I'm seeing the power of changed lives demonstrated. I'm seeing eternity. My perspectives are eternal as I consider the world around me. That's so very praiseworthy to this one who once hated life and even entertained thoughts of suicide at one dark time in my life. Thank you Jesus for saving my life from destruction and inviting me to share your world!

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

And the really good news! He keeps telling me "You haven't seen anything yet!" And I know there's nothing special about me, He loves to bring new life to all who seek Him in desperation for His help to change their world!
