Some scriptural reflections on the brilliance of the glorious plan of God....
Psalms 97:11
Light is sown like seed for the righteous
And gladness for the upright in heart.
As I have thought on this one verse from the Psalm above I see wonderful things illuminated. I see that light is called seed for the righteous, and that it produces gladness. I wondered "How can one sow light?" Then as I thought these things over, I am led to other scriptures which shed more light on how God's light enters the heart to make it glad. The light comes forth with truth, in love.....
Palms 43:3
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
So as I reflect on light one word has been quickened to my heart ..."Brilliance"
BRILLIANCE
The state or quality of being brilliant, as:
Extreme brightness.
Exceptional clarity and agility of intellect or invention.
Splendor; magnificence.
Music. Sharpness and clarity of tone.
This came to me as the right way to describe our Lord Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth and the light...
1 Timothy 6:16
Jesus Christ, who only has immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honor and power eternal. Amen.
As I consider the scripture verse from the Psalms 97 teaching I think of how God in the beginning said "Let there be light".....
Genesis 1:3-4
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And although we know this word created the daylight and all natural light, we also know that before the foundation of the world he planed to illuminate the darkness with the light of the gospel of Christ.....
Isaiah 60:19
The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but Jehovah will be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
John 8:12
Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Ephesians 5:9
For the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.
And we understand that as we walk in the light of truth which God has shined into our hearts we are redeemed from all unrighteousness. There is a condition to be met there, an "IF". The brotherhood of believers must live in what we speak in order to demonstrate Christ in holiness to the world...... .
1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
Luke 11:36
If therefore thy whole body be full of light, having no part dark, it shall be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining doth give thee light.
As we delight ourselves in the Lord we learn to hate evil and to grow in the graces needed to endure and to overcome the challenges that come and to engage in the victorious good fight of faith. We then become change agents who war in the spirit to advance his kingdom of truth and righteousness in the earth for the glory of God.......
Hebrews 10:32-33
But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great fight of afflictions;partly, while ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, while you became companions of them that were so used.
Bless the Lord who lives in mighty power and love in the hearts and lives of obedient sons and daughters of God, for the manifestation of his divine mercies, love and justice in the earth for the profit of many.....
Isaiah 60:2
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
Now, I give thanks to the Father who has sent such glorious blessing to us from the heavenly realms. Through the brilliance of his light and truth we are recreated into Christ's image and equipped to sow life changing seeds of light and truth into the hearts of men through his indwelling Holy Spirit. Praises to our Lord Jesus Christ who is faithful to open willing hearts to the brilliance of heavenly words of wisdom, mercy, and grace so that we might co-operate with him for the salvation of the souls of men. . Amen....
