Christian Author Writer “Not long after September 11, someone scribbled these chilling words on the wall of a building in Washington, D.C.: ‘Dear God, please save us from the people who believe in you.’”

I ask you to consider these words, and as you think on them let the Holy Spirit speak to your Heart. The acts committed on that day were done in the name of God. I have seen that same mentality, hatred, and distrust among Christian people from one Race of people and denomination to another.

Not long ago a man that I love as a Christian, ask me to come visit him, actually it was more than an invite, it was more like a heartfelt plea of a friend reaching out to a friend for fellowship. He is the kind of friend that every time he greets me he sheds tears of joy and almost squeezes the breath out of me.

A few years ago, I did some things that caused a company I was affiliated with to buy a very large amount of equipment from him and they have continued to do so, and more than likely it will continue for many years to come. It just so happened that the market for that type of equipment was very slow and still is. The day I approached him to make a deal, I had many choices as to where I could go, and I was the one that would make the final decision on the purchase. We are talking about several million dollars, and has been millions sense then. For him it was a gift from God, and Poppa was the delivery boy.

While in the process of bargaining and doing the deal, I discovered he was a Christian and I shared a poem I had written. And we talked about the love of God. It seems that he shared it with coworkers at his company along with his general manager. That particular company surprisingly has a lot of Christian folks employed there. Several are preachers and Poppa picked up a built in fan club!...Can you say Amen?

When making a deal of that size there are always details, details, and more details to be worked out, so I made several trips to their offices. Every time I drove into the parking lot someone would greet me and tell me they had read one of my poems or articles, and how much they enjoyed it. I often wondered if it was because of the business I brought to them or did they genuinely like what they read.

On one occasion while I was in my new friends office, several of the employees gathered, so we moved into the conference room and made coffee. As we conducted our business the conversation turned to religion, not on my part, but first one then the other would bring up a question to me about my affiliations in the church world. What did I believe about this or that, what did I think about this denomination or that one, what did I think about Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes, Charles Stanley, Oral Roberts, Billy Graham, A.A. Allen, Jack Hyles, Benny Hinn, Paula White, Marcus and Joni Lamb, Paul and Jan Crouch, Do you approve of the way Jan Crouch dresses and wears all that makeup? Are you filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues?, Do you believe in once saved always saved?, do you believe in progressive sanctification?, are you post-tribulation or pre-tribulation?, what day do you believe is the Sabbath?..Do you believe Catholics are saved?.... I was overwhelmed and amazed!..I was told they argue like that all day everyday..They thought they were being spiritual, and they were...but not with a Godly Spirit...they were in the flesh. They were sincere, but sincerely wrong... and hell loves it....I could see where this was leading and I was grieved in spirit.

The general manager was one of those in the room and he is one of the preachers there. I told him if he wanted me to address all this, He would need to ask the receptionist to hold these folks calls for about 30 minutes. He agreed, and I told them a burro parable...I happen to be very fond of mules and burros, they remind me so much of the people of God!...Can you say, Hallelujah?

An elderly man was traveling with a boy and a burro... As they walked through a village, the man was leading the burro and the boy was walking behind. The townspeople said the old man was a fool for not riding, so to please them he climbed up on the animal's back...When they came to the next village, the people said the old man was cruel to let the child walk while he enjoyed the ride. So, to please them, he got off and set the boy on the animal's back and continued on his way...In the third village, people accused the child of being lazy for making the old man walk, and the suggestion was made that they both ride. So the man climbed on and they set off again...In the fourth village, the townspeople were indignant at the cruelty to the burro because he was made to carry two people. The frustrated man was last seen carrying the burro down the road!.....Do you get my drift?...Sometimes we, (the church) frustrate people so very much with our know it all critical attitudes the last thing we see of them they are carrying their "Donkey" on down the road, and happy to not have to listen to our opinions and dogmas!

I have always believed even though many theologians do not agree, every word in this bible has been given to the church chocked full of spiritual goodies that will help us as we journey through our time on this earth. When I say church I mean every individual that makes up the body of Christ. I also believe, Every Promise in the book is mine, Every chapter, every verse, and Every line. I am aware that many theologians are carnal minded and will never see the spiritual treasures tucked away therein. I don't care how many DD's, Phd's, Dm's. Md's or Copd's they have for qualifications. Mind you, I am not talking about all students of the word. I also know many that are filled with knowledge, wisdom and the Holy Spirit.

Consider your self to be fortunate if you are blessed with a pastor that really sees the spiritual meaning and significance of the scriptures. Therefore those of you that are literal stop here, cause Poppa gonna write this the same way I witnessed it, with the anointing and direction of the Holy Spirit. I will add here that I am not talking about freaky, off the wall, spooky far out junk!...Can you say Amen?..

Have no doubt about what I believe. I hear people all the time saying, there is no hope for revival, they say, "There shall only be a great falling away, the love of many shall wax cold, the Church is dead with no hope for life...No Hope!...No Hope!..Latest news reports are that five terrorist cell groups have been operating in many of our churches.. They have been identified as: Bin Sleepin, Bin Arguin, Bin Fightin, Bin Complainin, and Bin Missin...Their leader, Lucifer Bin Workin, trained these groups to destroy the Body of Christ . The plan is to come into the church disguised as Christians and to work within the church to discourage, disrupt, and destroy.. However, there have been reports of a sixth group. A tiny cell known by the name Bin Prayin is actually the only effective counter terrorism force in the church.. Unlike other terrorist cells, the Bin Prayin team does not blend in with whoever and whatever comes along. Bin Prayin does whatever is needed to uplift and encourage the Body of Christ. We have noticed that the Bin Prayin cell group has different characteristics than the others. They have Bin Watchin, Bin Waitin, Bin Fastin, and Bin Longin for their Master, Jesus Christ to return. NO CHURCH IS EXEMPT! There is not a thing to fear cause you can spot them if you bin lookin and bin goin!

Beloved the great falling away already took place in the Dark Ages, the 1500's. What you see falling away today is not the church, it is those that love playing church!.. Now it's time for the real Church of God to stand up and be recognized.. Can you say Amen? When your journey of faith begins, you may not have all the answers you would like to have when you take your first steps of faith. But when we take the first step, God will give us the next step. When we obey that step, He will give us the next, and the next, and the next. That's the way it is for all of us when we walk in the Spirit. As wonderful as it would be to see the whole picture before we get started, He usually leads us one step at a time after we get started. This has certainly been true in my life. God gave me a vision for my life, but His instructions for moving toward that goal came one step at a time.

Romans 8:14 says, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." The word "led" is the Greek word "ago", which described the act of leading about an animal, such as a cow or a goat, at the end of a rope. The owner would wrap a rope around the animal's neck and then "tug" and "pull" until the animal started to follow him. When the animal decided to cooperate and follow that gentle tug, it could then be gently "led" to where its owner wanted it to go.

I want to encourage you to pay careful attention to the "tugging" and "pulling" of the Holy Spirit in your heart. He is a Gentleman and does not force you to obey Him. He prompts you, tugs on your heart, and pulls on your spirit to get your attention. Sometimes His "tugs" may be so gentle that you almost miss them. But if you'll develop your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, He will gently "lead" you exactly where He wants you to go with your life.

Also, don't demand that the Holy Spirit tell you the whole story first! Trust Him! Remember that Jesus called Him the "Spirit of Truth" (John 16) to help you understand that the Holy Spirit and His leading can be trusted! He is the "Spirit of Truth," so if He is leading you to do something, you can know He has a good reason for it. He sees and knows what you cannot see. If you will follow Him, the Holy Spirit will take you exactly where you need to go and help you reach your maximum potential in life.

The Leader we should be following knows exactly how to lead us. If we follow Him one step at a time, He will lead us to a high place of victory in so many areas. When we develop a heart to cooperate with God, we will see Him do the impossible again and again and again.

I urge you to make the decision to let the Spirit be your Leader in every area of your life. Let Him take you by the heart and give you a little "tug" and "pull" in the right direction. Then say, "Lord, I sense that You are tugging on my heart, and I'm ready to let You lead me where You want me to go." You may not see the full picture from the onset of your journey. But part of the excitement is letting God be in control! Watching where He leads and seeing what He does through you will later give you cause for great rejoicing. You'll be so thankful that you allowed Him to be the undisputed Leader in your life!... And He will never lead you to have a contentious spirit, nor to be a jerk!

There was a man who had a disability in his leg, but he was determined to walk. And so he walked, slowly, but often long distances. Once he was out in the countryside rolling hills, rough, rocky, and uninhabited. He was a couple miles from home. He felt exhausted, more than usual. He hoped someone would come along soon who could offer him a helping hand. Eventually, he saw someone riding a mule, He whistled his attention and the man came to him. He was the ranch owner making his daily round of the ranch. The crippled man explained his problem, that he just couldn't get back home without some help. He asked to borrow the rancher's mule to carry him home.

The rancher was glad to help. "Oh, there's no problem. I can loan you the mule. I have a good friend in town. If you'll just leave the mule at his place, I'll pick him up later.

"Before I let you go with this mule, I have to tell you some things about him. This mule is a bit unusual. He's been trained to follow different cues than most mules. When you want him to go..you don't say, "Gitty up!"... You say, "Praise the Lord!"...He won't move if you say, 'Gitty up!' And once you get him going, if you want to speed up, just repeat.. "praise the Lord!"... And then, when you want to stop...you don't say, 'Whoa!' You say, "Amen!"

"Now it's real important that you use the words this mule understands..."Amen!" to stop... "Praise the Lord!"...to go. If you'll remember that, you won't have any problem at all."

Grateful for the rancher's generosity, the crippled man mounted the mule. Comfortable in the saddle, he said..."Praise the Lord," and the donkey moved right out. Now that he was riding, he decided to go the longer route. So he said to the mule... "Praise the Lord!" He moved faster and faster. The road was winding and going downward and around a bend. He had never been down this road, and he didn't know what was there.

As he came around the curve, immediately he saw what looked like a river bank, but no bridge. It looked dangerous. He began to say, "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!"...but the mule didn't stop. He was getting closer and closer to the dangerous edge. He couldn't think of the right word. Finally, he was just where he began to see how deep the pit was over the dangerous edge and, somehow, he was able to recall the right word, "Amen!"...and the mule stopped right on the brink!....Overjoyed, the man raised his hands toward the sky and shouted,..."Praise the Lord!"

What?...You mean to tell me Poppa it is possible to speak religious words and be saying the wrong thing at the wrong time?..possibly even unintentional words of death!......What?...You mean to tell me Poppa it's possible that there are times we should do things differently?..The answer is, Yes, the word tells us to be instant in season and out of season...Dear friend you need to remember, you are dealing with the most important thing in the world, when you are talking about things of the Kingdom of God. Maybe even a soul, or maybe even your very own life in the Spirit, or maybe your entire testimony is at stake!...Always remember you are the representative of God Almighty!.. Most church members today don't know enough about God or His word to fill up a thimble...Just enough to be dangerous. And most are affiliated with a particular denomination because that's all they have ever known, Mom and Dad or aunt Susie was this, so that's what I am! This thing is not about your opinions, nor your doctrine, or pet peeves, and it certainly is not your business to force your convictions on others and expect them to live it.....You live your own convictions and walk in all the light God has given you,..and permit the Holy Spirit to do His work in the lives of others!..You will probably find that that is a full time job and a much better testimony!..You see, this stuff really is all about the Lamb of God, and His Love for mankind. Not our theories.
"Dear God save us from those that believe in You"

There was an old monastery which was down to just three monks.. Years had passed since anyone joined the order. Its time had passed and these three monks figured they would be the last....The abbot in charge shared his sadness with a friend...a neighboring preacher...The preacher looked surprised. "Oh no," he said. "Your order will not die. Your monastery will not close. I have had a revelation that the Messiah is among you....So, no, you will not close."...The Abbot returned to the other monks scratching his head, and told his two colleagues. They were all astonished....And suddenly, they began to see each other in an entirely new light. They began to take care of each other as never before, as if they were taking care of the Messiah....They listened to each other as they had never listened before...as if they were listening to the Messiah...They blessed one another as they had never blessed one another before... as if they were blessing the Messiah.....Visitors to the monastery noticed the quality of the monks care for one another. It was beautiful. And it was contagious....People wanted to experience what they experienced...People began to want to join their order, and when they joined, they were told the secret.. "Sh-h-h-h-h! The Messiah is here among us!"...And each began to meet the Messiah in the other...until all were drawn close...in the love of God.

I gave an altar call that day in that conference room and ask those folks to join me in prayer, they responded and Abba bathed us in a Spirit of love and patience and compassion. I went back to visit awhile back and the fragrance of Holy Spirit, was still in the air...Father washed them with the good stuff. A fragrance of joy, peace, longsuffering and family. Somebody give me a witness!

God Bless You
Poppa
