I sat on my porch drinking coffee one morning near sunrise and thought about how blessed God's people are, not so much with things and stuff, but rather with His constant presence in our everyday lives.
Call it an old man's fancy if you like, but I really enjoy feeding the wildlife that abide on my place. I have rabbits, raccoons, squirrels, doves, woodpeckers and all kinds of smaller birds, but one of my favs are the Hummingbirds. They zoom in and out, get in scuffles with one another and faster than a speeding bullet they can drink the nectar that I keep in their feeders and then be gone in the blink of an eye.
This morning I was enjoying my usual cup of coffee and the sun was just beginning to peek over the tops of the trees.I was watching the critters dine on the breakfast of champions,[ sunflower seeds ] the manna that I had provided for them earlier that morning before sunrise.
As I enjoyed my coffee and relished the quiet, peaceful, relaxing stillness of the morning,I suddenly could feel a gentle breeze on my neck. Out of the corner of my eye I could see a little Hummer that had let her curiosity get the best of her. She was hovering ever so close to me, so close, that for a brief moment I was absolutely sure that I was enjoying the sweetness of her breath.
And suddenly the Holy Spirit descended on me in great waves of sweetness, peace and joy and He reminded me of a verse in God's word that said, "and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the "Breath of Life" and man became a living soul."
The breath of life. God breathed into man the "Breath of Life", O' my can you imagine the sweetest breath that has ever been or ever shall be? Can you imagine Adam receiving the sweet breath of the great I Am, the Holiest of Holy's, the Rose of Sharon, the Mighty Counselor, the Lily of The Valley? Dear friend I am talking about the Nectar of the Almighty God.
And I realized that He, the Holy Spirit, is at this very moment, breathing into me that same sweet "Breath of Life" and I knew I was feeding on sweet nectar from the throne of My "Holy Father", from the very fountain of the "Breath of Life".
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is upon me and I can hear the ancient one saying for Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake, I will not rest until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.
I am not a preacher, but I am a witness and a testimony of what the "Breath of Life" is all about. I shall rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation.
Come with me! Come with me! And you will feel Him. Reach out and touch Him. Let Him breath the "Breath of Life" into you.
He will appoint unto them that mourn in Zion. He will give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that you might be called a tree of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that He might be glorified.
And I heard my Master saying, and I will pray to the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever.
And now that same Comforter is upon me and He is in me. That sweet Spirit is bringing to my remembrance times when I was so low in spirit, soul and body that I had to reach up to touch the bottom. When suddenly He once again, would breath the "Breath of Life" into me. My dear friends, listen to poppa K, you can't lose with the stuff I use. I'm feeding on the sweet Nectar of the Rose of Sharon.
