Father, just a little tighter,
I'll read your Holy Word more,
I'll pray without ceasing,
not skip any service,
forward on my knees.
just a little tighter, Abba Father,
Closer to your breast.
Don't let me slip away.
I'm just a little babe,
at rest in the Father's arms.
Your heart calmly beats against
my ear.
Abba, Father, hold me tighter,
rid me of these worries,
rid me of these worldly fears.
Just a little tighter, I proclaim
Holy one in Jesus's name.
I praise you Father for holding me up,
wiping my tears when I cry.
Abba, Father.
