He forgave me,
On a dark and lonely road,
he was there to save me.

My works alone are not enough,
so the Savior sent his love.
On that dark and lonely road,
he forgave me.

He reached down those nail-scarred hands
real deep to save me.
With a sweet embrace,
as tears streaked down my face,
he comforted me.

when everything's complete,
I'll lay my crown down at his feet.
His amazing grace, unfailing, today, amazes me.
