In the still of the night,
help me, God, to do everything right.
I'll follow your commandments.
Be well in your sight.
Have a pure heart.
In the still of the night.
In the still of the night,
Lord, I'll follow your flame.
You're burning bright.
Keep my lantern lit.
so I don't get lost.
In the still of the night.
In the still of the night,
I'll echo your name for all to hear.
They'll see your good works from far and near.
They'll come and have their own lanterns lit,
Join the good fight.
In the still of the night.
In the still of the night,
Keep our lanterns burning fair.
Allow us to find and keep the straight narrow path
which leads back home.
Lord, don't let any get discouraged, but stay
on the path which leads to glory, bright, eternal life.
In the still of the night.
Love You, Lord
