God's promises are true.
God's promises are right.
I keep them close to my heart.
They help me sleep at night.

Though an imperfect world
beckons me their way.
God's promises in my heart
guide me a better way.

Turbulence threatens to drown me
in cares among this day.
I listen to my Lord and
what he has to say.

Fear not for thou art with me
every step of this way.
It's him I love from up above.
He will bring me there to stay.
