Old man Ed, why does everyone seem
to shake their heads at you as they pass by.
Your in your white robe, standing on the corner,
holding a sign full of scriptures, redeeming the time.
You shout, "He's coming! You better be ready. Jesus is coming!"

Some just laugh. You run your fingers through your silver hair.
Tears run down your cheeks. "He loves you. Just believe on his mighty
name and accept the Lord of lords today." A couple children begin
to mock and tease you. It cuts him like a sharp stone, but he continues
his curbside ministry. He clings to his Bible. He reads Psalms: 23 aloud.
Then he reads a couple scriptures from Ephesians.

Then, one day, he just wasn't there to preach to them. Everyone in the
town wondered what had happened. Did he change locations? Maybe he got sick
of the badgering? Nope. Jesus came. He came for Old man Ed that crisp morning.
He didn't leave anything behind just his robe and his sign. Ed was in glory with Jesus
 that glorious morning.

 God Bless You and thanks,
 Jason Kirk Bartley.
