Christian Author Writer The lesson that I have for you
To learn upon this day
Is a special one, I must admit
I heard the Savior say

The lesson deals with my great love
Yes, it's hard to comprehend
You see, it has no beginning
And my child it has no end

I send the rain upon the righteous
And on the unrighteous too
And the sun I shine upon you all
Not just a select few

Upon the earth there will be times
Someone hurts or does you wrong
But let these words dwell in your heart
And remember this little song

So learn The Lesson well my child
Learn to love your enemy
And forgive them for the wrong they do
Just like I've forgiven you
