Christian Author Writer Panic descends like a bomb,
the stock market crashes,
sending values plummeting down
the bowels of Gehenna.
Fear crazed eyes watch as the
worldly phantom of security fades
into night desert.
Personal empires crumble into dust.
Gloom builds concrete towers.
People seek to scale its walls.
Feigning happiness is a newly acquired skill.
In desperation knees genuflect.
Pleading eyes look upward
searching for the face of God.
