Many non believers think that being a Christian has extreme handicaps. That is a lie and an unfounded truth. Being a Christian we get prophetic dreams from God and these dreams bring us good news and warnings. God said he will tell his servants what is to come. In this article, I will share with you the numerous dreams which God had given to me and their direct application in my daily life. Yes, these dreams guided my actions in my normal daily life and they are not only comforting, these dreams brought me peace that what I am deciding and doing is in line with what God has shown me. Whatever I saw in my dreams, I did exactly what God has already decreed. Some dreams are just information about my future and so I don’t need to do anything but to accept His sovereign will but for other dreams which require my personal decisions and actions I will always choose to be on the side of God and his will.
Joel 2:28
"And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
Amos 3:7
Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.
Daniel 1:17
To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.
Daniel 2:28
but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you lay on your bed are these:
Daniel 2:29
"As you were lying there, O king, your mind turned to things to come, and the revealer of mysteries showed you what is going to happen.
John 16:13
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Jeremiah 23:32
Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," declares the LORD. "They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least," declares the LORD.
Only God can reveal the future to his people, because he is a revealer of mysteries. Diviners and sorcerers do not know the meaning of dreams which God has given to his people. Only those people who have been given the gift of dream interpretations will know how; because the revealer of the meaning of dreams come from the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of Truth and it will reveal the truth in the dreams. Dream interpreters are appointed by God otherwise these false interpreters will tell reckless lies.
Daniel 4:7
When the magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners came, I told them the dream, but they could not interpret it for me.
Daniel 5:11
There is a man in your kingdom who has the spirit of the holy gods in him. In the time of your father he was found to have insight and intelligence and wisdom like that of the gods.
Micah 3:7
The seers will be ashamed and the diviners disgraced. They will all cover their faces because there is no answer from God."
Zechariah 10:2
The idols speak deceit, diviners see visions that lie; they tell dreams that are false, they give comfort in vain. Therefore the people wander like sheep oppressed for lack of a shepherd.
Dream of Financial Blessings
One night I had a dream, I dreamt that I was putting money into the banks quick deposit box. I put checks and dollar bills in them. This was a strange dream as usual we would put check into a quick deposit box but never dollar bills. Then the days which follows, people gave unto me $50 dollar bills and checks worth $2000. The dream came as and when it chooses and I had no control over what came to me in my sleep at night.
Dream of God’s Verdict
Another time, I had a dream , I dreamt that my natural father, brother and I were having a meeting and in that meeting my father and I were scolding my brother over certain matters which he had done wrong. The next day, my boss called me over the phone and said to me that he wanted to fire my General Manager, who happens to be my Christian brother in Christ. In that meeting, my boss told him he was to be fired. After that meeting, my boss told me that he had to be fair to me. I was the Head of Operations at that time in that company, this happened the next day after I had the dream.
Dream of Spiritual Blessings
In my dream, I saw 3 buckets of water, one small, one medium and one large. I saw a tap which was filling up the largest of the 3 buckets and it was overflowing with water. Since this dream, I had read the bible and spiritual books for at least 3 years and my mind was overflowing with scriptures and many of my friends were disgusted at my speech as its always about what the bible says.
Dream of Future Events
I had another dream along time ago; this time was about my father. In the dream, I saw him at a bus station and suddenly he went into a convulsion, he flipped backwards and was rocking on the ground with his middle section having extreme pain at his stomach section. Then he stood up and was alright except I knew there was something missing. One month later, he was found to have stomach cancer and had his stomach removed, but he was alright and lived another 10 years later. So when my father was found to have cancer of the stomach I was very relieved that although something was missing, he would be alive and well. This brought me peace and allowed me to proceed on my personal plan without worrying for him.
Dream of God’s Warning
In another dream, I dreamt that my car brakes were not working and I had collided with another car in front of me when I stopped my car at an intersection. Immediately in the morning, I went to check my brakes and the mechanic told me that my brake discs were worn out and had to be replaced. This was a good warning as I had already intended to drive a long distance to see my customer during that period. God is so good to warn me my car brakes were worn out.
Dream of Ascending to the Heavens
I had the strangest dream sometime back about 7 years ago, I dreamt a pair of hands touched my face and my spirit left my body and I was ascending to the heavens at such a great speed that I almost disintegrate into pieces, my heart felt it had just leaped forward at maximum light speed. Then I heard angels saying bring him up with us. I pleaded with the one who sent me up and said please stop for a while, then my spirit returned slowly for a while. A few seconds later, the pair of hands touched my face again and I went up once again into the heavens and this time I was accustomed to the speed and I did not complained. Then the journey ended naturally and I returned back to my body and my room which was filled with light became dark again. Now my life is on the other leg of this ascension, the first was an instant rise to success then followed by a period of rest which I had experienced in my life without a job for 2 years, and now I have returned back to work again.
Dream of Work Situation in the Company
A few years ago, I had a dream of my Boss, the CEO that he was all alone his factory with all the metal cupboards surrounding him. He was alone in darkness with his table and chair and the entire factory was in darkness, no one was with him. A few days later, the Managing Director, General Manager, and Engineering Director all resigned and he was left alone to manage the company. At that time, I did not know this was happening so I told him this dream and he was very surprised to hear what I was saying. God had shown me the present state of the company which I worked in.
Dream of God’s Judgment
Most recently I dreamt that the mountain of rocks came crashing down on the earth and it was an avalanche of huge rocks. Our little Christian business group was at the hotel resort in the mountains with a large church group. Suddenly without warning the rocks were coming down on us. Fortunately, a solid wall which must have been a few feet thick came from below the ground and shielded us from this avalanche. In the dream, I asked the manager when this wall was designed and he told me 18 years ago. That would be in the year 1992. This rock is judgment upon the earth and Jesus is the rock, and it will come on his church first.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I am writing these things to share with you that only the chosen ones can have such prophetic dreams from God and they all mean something real and true. Not all dreams are prophetic in nature; some are from our soul which is not in agreement with our mind and spirit. So they manifest as dreams to warn us of this imbalance of body mind and spirit. These three things must always be in agreement before we can achieve anything meaningful; else it’s a bunch of incomplete assignments in our lives done without much conviction and zeal.
I write not to boast but to testify that God give me dreams to help me have a better life. He is my refuge and my strength forever more. God gave Abraham a dream, he gave Jacob a dream, he gave Joseph a dream, he gave Solomon a dream, and he gave Nebuchadnezzar a dream, he gave Abimelech a dream, he gave Joseph, Mary’s husband a dream. God gave his people dreams to tell them what is to come, and guided them through dangerous paths and brought them all into their destiny. In life, we will have our troubles but because Jesus Christ has conquered death, he can lead us to a peaceful life and get us out of our troubles, no matter what troubles you may be in.
So it’s good to know that God gives us dreams to help us. But what about those people who don’t seem to have any such dreams. What can they do?
James 4:2
You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God.
Yes, God can give you this gift if you asked him to guide you through your dreams. Pray and asked him to give you the Holy Spirit which comforts us. But when he give you those dreams, please do not be like stubborn mules, obey his warning and his decree then you shall be prosperous and successful in whatever you do. I was given such dreams because I had asked God to speak to me in dreams and he did. When God speaks to you in dreams, it shall be very clear and vivid and it’s very simple and short.
1 Samuel 15:23
For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king."
When dreams come and you don’t obey and follow its guidance, they will start to fade away and will not come again. When God speaks and you don’t listen and obey, he will stop speaking and your days will be like iron and bronze.
